People's Republic of China (PRC) University of Technology and Gongshu District Government are committed to promoting cooperation between Industry-University-Research and promoting the complementary advantages and coordinated development of the two places.
Twenty-six June, mr. Featured alumni Hong Kong John Lee, Chief executive of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Mr. Yi Lianhong, and Mr. Lu Shan, vice governor of Zhejiang Province, attended the opening ceremony of “2023 Hong Kong, Macao and Zhejiang Week” and the Zhejiang-hong Kong Co-operation Forum, witness the signing of a number of co-operation agreements between Hangzhou and Hong Kong.
At the opening ceremony of "2023 Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Zhejiang Week and Zhejiang-Hong Kong Cooperative Learning Theme Education Forum", Zhejiang and Hong Kong signed a number of technical cooperation agreements.
The vice-minister of Research and development of PolyU, Professor Zhao, signed a framework agreement with Shen of Gongshu district of Hangzhou municipal government of the People's Republic of China to promote cooperation between the Hangzhou Institute of Technology and Innovation of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU Hangzhou) . This is one of the key cooperation projects between Hangzhou and Hong Kong, aiming to carry out in-depth and effective cooperation among industry, university and research institutes.
At the initial stage of construction, the Hangzhou Research Institute of PolyU will set up three research centers, tentatively named "Rail Transit Intelligence Center", "Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Research Center" and "Mathematical Intelligence and Medical Beauty Research Center", which will mainly work in three key areas: technology research and development, enterprise incubation and personnel training, so as to promote the complementary advantages and coordinated development of Hangzhou and Hong Kong, promote the implementation of innovation plans, and develop into a first-class scientific and technological innovation base, so as to achieve win-win results for both sides.
At the same venue, the President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Teng Jinguang, and the chairman of Zhejiang Communications Investment Group Limited (Zhejiang Trade Investment Group) , Yu Zhihong, signed a research co-operation agreement between Hong Kong and Zhejiang Province. USTC Rail Transit Research team will cooperate with Zhejiang transportation group in new products, New Technology R & D, Global Promotion of innovative achievements, personnel training and scientific research cooperation.
On June 27th, Mr. Song Xinjian, the second inspector of Hangzhou Science and Technology Bureau, led leaders of several administrative districts (Qiantang District, Gongshu District, Yuhang District and High-tech Zone) and heads of many enterprises to visit PolyU, and visited the National Research Center of Rail Transit Electrification and Automation Engineering Technology (Hong Kong Branch) and the Biomaterials Laboratory.
