Fun facts from the life of LeBron James - the King of Basketball

Known as a King on the Basketball court and a hero to the folks in, "The Land," and Worldwide, stay tuned as a share a mini-biography for about LeBron James.

LeBron James was born in Akron, Ohio on December 30, 1984. Growing up LeBron did not have it easy, because of his family not having much money. This is where his Coach Frankie Walker, took LeBron under his wing and let him stay with his family to focus on school and basketball.

When it came to school Lebron went to St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. There he was very successful in basketball leading his team to three state basketball titles. From there he would skip college and go straight to the NBA. This is where LeBron would be picked #1 overall in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers.LeBron continued showing up as an amazing basketball player even leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2007 NBA Finals, where they would lose to the Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs.

In 2010, LeBron needed a change. This is where he made the Decision to join the Miami Heat with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Lebron would win 2 NBA Championships with the Heat in back to back years in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons.

Looking at love on September 14, 2013, LeBron married his high school sweetheart, Savannah Brinson. They would go on to have three children with two sons and one daughter.

In 2014, James would leave the Miami Heat where he returned to Cleveland Ohio.That is where with the help of players like Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving they brought Cleveland its first NBA Title in the 2015-2016 season beating the Golden State Warriors in a 7 game series.

In January 2018, at age 33, LeBron James passed Kobe Bryant as the youngest player to achieve

30,000 career points and became the seventh player in NBA history to achieve that milestone.Looking at LeBron on a global scale he also played on the U.S. Olympic basketball team during three Summer Olympic Games, in 2004, 2008 and 2012.

After spending years with the Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James joined the Los Angeles Lakers in that same year, like many greats including Kareem Abdul Jabar, Wilt Chamberlain and more.
